I have a branch of WRIGHT's in my tree & many off shoots, but none from the area you give.  They are mainly from the Butt Lane, Audley, Wolstanton areas. Thought I give them a mention (just in case)  ;D

Hi Willow

I'm interested in the Mary Ellen Wright you mention.  My gggrandfather Robert Wright had a sister called Mary Ellen who was born in 1847 in Kingsley which would make her about the right age to be marrying in 1872.

Do you know any more details on her?

Thanks very much for posting this.

Best wishes

Sorry Ticker, Mary Ellen was b 1872 & married in 1894 to Joseph Jackson.
Have you noticed how many WRIGHT's there are in Staffordshire!! I'm sure they were probably mainly related, somewhere further back.
I also have the next generation of the family I posted, some went onto Shropshire & Cheshire'

Hi Willow

Never mind.

Yes there are rather a lot of Wrights in Staffs - and everywhere else probably!  ;)

Maybe we'll link our two branches at some point.

Best wishes
