Hi Deborah, I'm interested in any Machell who might be listed on these returns. (Machell has a number of spelling variants: Maichel, Maychel, Matchel, Maitchal, etc.--but, fortunately, it's quite an uncommon surname.)

The Machells are limited to:
Kirkby Thure: 6 Mar 1641/2, In the parishe church of Kirkby-thure being the Lords Day after Evening prayer the business and nature of the Protestation was communicated and recommended to the Congregation by Lancelote Lowther Parson there and afterwards taken by himself and then by them whose names are subscribed.
