You may already have this;
1891 Ernest is with his Grandparents Charles/Charlotte Moody.
1891/1901 Margaret is with her Blease Grandparents in Leese, Cheshire

Death;
Margaret MOODY, March 1883, Congleton, 8a 207, Age 31
She is aged 28 on 1881 Census

I cant help but be nosey but when I looked for a Marriage of Bold to Margaret I could only find one to Margaret HULSE March 1873 on FreeBMD.
This did not fit with Blease Grandparents for Margaret so I had to satifsy my curiousity :-[

Satisfied now as I found out why on PilotSearch;
Bold MOODY, Father CHARLES married Margaret HULSE,  Father JAMES, 23 January 1873, Byley, Middlewich, Cheshire.
England/Wales Marriage has this extra info;
Groom 21, Bride 20, Brides Mother Ann BLEASE
So Ann must have remarried.

You are very welcome.
Here is the link;
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=home
Just enter;
Bold Moody
Marriage
Cheshire
3 entries should come up.
If you have any trouble just shout ;)

Death;
Bold MOODY, March 1937, Congleton, 8a 492, Age 75

Do you need any other Census entries?

Trish :)

I just checked that site entering;
Bold Moody, Cheshire and left the all events up.

Looks like they had more children some of which died.
ANN ELIZABETH Moody, christened 21 August 1881, Byley with Lees, Cheshire
CHARLES Moody, christened 1873, Byley
CHARLOTTE Moody, christened 13 September 1874
HAROLD BOLD Moody 1876, Byley

Now there is a 9yr old ANNIE Moody with the Moodys and Ernest in 1891 Census
Death;
CHARLES Moody, Age O, December 1874, Congleton, 8a 208
Cant find anything for Charlotte or Harold unless mistranscribed.
Will look on Census llater as they could be with other Family members.

1891 Census
Assembly Rooms,
Church Holme, Cheshire
RG12/2843/51/23
Charles MOODY, 76, Head, Mar, General Labourer, born Hunstuston, Cheshire
Charlotte, 69, Wife, Mar, born holmes Chapel, Cheshire
Charles, 18, Grandson, Unm, born Byley, Cheshire
ERNEST J, 12, Grandson, born Holmes Chapel, Cheshire
ANNIE, 9 , Grand/Daug, born Allostock, Cheshire

1881 Census
Brooklands Farm,
Church Holme, Cheshire
RG11/3532/63/3
Charles MOODY, 66, Head, Farmer of 43 Acres
Charlotte, 58, Wife

Harry, 10, Grandson
Lilian, 8, Gran/Daug
Charles, 4. Grandson

CHARLOTTE, 6, Grand/Daug, born Holmes Chapel
HARRY, 4, Grandson, born Holmes Chapel
William DUTTON, 17, Servant
Emma BUNN, 16, Servant
Peter MEE, 11, Visitor

So it looks like Charlotte and Harry (Harold) were with their Grandparents in 1881 and not with Bold and Margaret.
Maybe Charles is theirs also and is not the Death I found.
I wonder what happened to the Farm between 1881/1891?

Hi
I am also new to this and have an interest in Bold Moody, His son Harry Bold was the grandfather of my mum-in-law. I also found him listed on the 1911 census as Boald Moody and his age was the same as it was on the 1901 census. I obtained his death certificate and he was not registered by a family member and the age at death is 10 years less than I have as I also managed to get his birth certificate. He is listed as Poold Moody at birth an easy transcription error to make when you look at the certificate. Don't know if anyone can add anymore to this.
Thanks
Ellen

Hi Bea
I also found out that Bold was buried at Sandbach Church. I went along to have a look but unfortuately there was no grave stone, I also wnet on the open day as they had the chuch records there but the one book that I needed to look at was missing. I have also made contact with another line of the Moody family my mum-in-laws cousin who lives in Wales. I am finding this all very interesting.

Hi Ellan thanks for that info.  Could you please send me dates of Bolds birth and death.  Is your mother in law pleased with what you have found?  I have often wondered why his children Charles (my grandad) Charlotte and Harry were probably brought up by the grandparents.  My mother knew this but didn't think to ask her Dad as she said people just didn't ask questions like that in this days. I remember Charlotte who we called Auntio Lottie when I was a child,  she used to visit us every week as my Grandad lived with us in the Manchester area.  What area of the country do you live in.  Regards Bea

Hi Bea

The dates are as follows:
Birth 12/09/1857 in Church Hulme
Death: 03/02/1937 in Arclid

My mum-in-law does not even remember her grandad only that he seemed to disappear. She wavers between pleased to know and not interested as your mum said they never talked about things in those days so she Knows very little. We are in Crewe in Cheshire. When we are able to exchange email addresses I can send you copies of the birth and death certificates it shows cause of death as senile decay.

Be in touch soon

Kind Regards

Ellen

Hi Ellen   thanks for info.  Its very interesting all this and I will be pleased when we can exchange email adds.  Bold lived to a good age as did my grandad who was 86 when he passed away.  I live in Morecambe, Lancs and recently visited Holmes Chapel on my way to Alvaston Hall nr Nantwich.  Its a lovely little place as you proberbly already know. I have just found out that Bolds wife died very young at 30 yrs leaving 5 children so that might be why the children lived with grandad and grandma moody(anoth Charles).   Keep in touch,  Regards Bea

I have been researching Moody family tree for the last couple of years. I am also Bold's Gr Gr grandaugter. If anyone wishes to compare notes that would be great. I think Ellen, who has posted on this link in 2012, is married to my first cousin. If Margaret Lewis is your mother in law then I have the right person. Auntie Margaret told me you had been doing research too. It would be good to be in touch if you read this. I am Arthur Moody's daughter.
