Hi,

What information are you looking for about Frederick and his siblings?  Do you know what his siblings names are?

Frederick got married in Bankstown, NSW and died in Randwick.

However, the only Frederick I can find on the electoral roll in the 1930s was living with Alice Adeline Cunningham.  It was in Bankstown, so maybe they lived together before they got married?

He's also the only cunningham death I can find whose parents were Ralph and Margaret.

If you tell me what you're after and a bit more info, I'll see if I can help.

Best wishes,

Jenni.

Am wondering if either Alice Adeline or Frederick were married to someone else and being catholic didn't believe in divorce so  they didnt marry until the first spouse/husband died????

Hi Jenn,
That sounds very possible.

This may be RALPH marrying in England

Marriages Mar 1/4 1882
Cunningham, Ralph        S Shields
Vol 10a page 811
Same page
ENGLISH    Margaret Bell

I also see a RALPH CUNNINGHAM as a 27 year old on the 1881 English census.
He is a shipwright as is his father ,JAMES and born Northumberland Eng..

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp

I cannot see much evidence of RALPH and MARGARET in Australia yet :(

Hi sorry about that. Alice Cullen m. Norman Dunn Morris and had three
children Frank Olive and my uncle Neville.  Then someone along the line
Alice m or lived with Frederick Cunningham and had Frederick Cunningham
who died in l953.  I have been looking for Alice and Norman Dunn Morris
daughter but up to l980 cannot find whether she is dead or alive.  All I know that she lived with her mother at Cronulla before l980.  I am going to get
Alice Cunninghams death notice next year as you are not able to get it
without proof if its not 30 years or more and next year will be 30 years.

Hi goldilocks,
I hope you will not mind me mentioning to you that to get the best from a request it is always advisable to....

a) tell all you know in your first initial request so that those who work on your behalf are not doubling up on information

b) read your responses with care so that all parties are on the same wavelength   Very tricky when you assume we understand something which has never been mentioned.

Glad our contributions have been of help.  :)

Jenn,
I can only presume so.if I have my info correctly and this is the same Frederick cunningham.
But Fred was previously married in England in 1919 and a year later they had a son called Robert born 13th of May 1920 (my granddad.)
Sadly we didn't  know the whereabouts of Frederick as my grandad never spoke much about him and was a suprise to see he ended up in Australia.
Funny really because his grandson (my uncle) lives in Adelaide.and Frederick son Robert went out there in the 80s for a few years.

please disregard the information on  Olive  my  mistake there..

however  I did  find  this death
reg 22985/1936    MORRIS   NORMAN DUNN   father WILLIAM    mother ADA   CANTERBURY

so he has died leaving Alice free to  Marry
Did  Fred's first wife pass away  before the  marriage of Fred and Alice?

Perhaps  he did  what my ggggfather  did  and never said  he had a wife in  England.

see this is where it gets abit confusing.....frederick left england  and also his wife from his first marrige who was  still living in aderlade in the 1980's.now fredericks parents both died in england father ralph in 1932 and his mother margret in 1902.but the ralph and margret mentiond in the first few posts could of been his older brother and sister.because his sister died in 1954 in bankstown. the big thing is i also have a year of death for frederick which is 1960 and he died in randwick....it all seams abit  ??? ??? ???

Hi  there

Perhaps  the  purchase of  a couple  of  certificates might  solve your  questions.   There is no death  on the  NSW  BDMS  for  A Frederick Cunningham  in  1960

What  was his sisters name please?

thanks  Jenn

had a look and  feel  the  sister was Margaret Carnegie  who  did in  Sydney in 1954  her  funeral  and death  notices   only  mention  her  children no  brothers or sister  or even a  husband.

The  person  giving  the details on  Frederick  death certificate  had his  parents as Ralph and Margaret.
