Title: Trying to trace Mehaffy family of Ballybay
Post by: Attilla the hen on Saturday 07 August 10 14:32 BST (UK)
Just joined forum.  Am doing a family tree and have got stuck at my Monaghan relatives from the 1800's.   Has anyone any idea where I might look?
Thanks

Well you'd be relying on church records so you'd need their religion, plus any details of townland etc.. every crumb is important!

Yes, I have seen that but all I know is that they came from Ballybay and I have no idea if any of the entries refer to the Ballybay area.  I will ask around the only older relative I have left if he has any information he can add.  Thanks for your help
