I'm looking formore information on a Richard Evans born about 1853 in Llanidloes. His father is Evan Evans and his mother Mary. I'm looking for Mary's maiden name. Any help would be most appreciated.

The oldest child at this time is Elizabeth born c 1842. :-\
but
1851 HO107; Piece: 2496; Folio: 185; Page: 14
has Evan married to Margaret and they have a daughter Margaret aged 12 yrs :-\
I think these are the same people. A birth certificate, of course, would give you Richard's mother's name.

Thanks for your hard work. I do have most of this information. I sent for the 1837 marriage certificate but Evan was married to a margaret not a mary. I shall probably now send for the 1839 certificate- lets hope it's not another wasted £9.25!!

On the marriage cert for an Evan Evans married to a Margaret...would you be so kind as to tell me Margarets maiden name.I am researching Edward Evans born in 1851.He said that he was born in Trefeglwys but this may be incorrect.He however named his first two children Evan and Margaret.Thanks

On the certificate I have Margaret's maiden name is Lewis. Hope this is of some help.
