I am trying to find out if there is a Bridgebar in Scotland. My Father-in-law was born 1.3.1919, and all I have in my notes is Bridgebar beside it. Can anyone enlighten me on this place
Cheers

I am trying to verify the place of birth of my father-in-law James Price. He was born I think 1.3.1919. The only place name I have is Barrhead, which my daughter found amongst her grandmother's papers. Is there a kind soul out there who could help me verify this?
Cheers Kristin

Bridgebar St is/was a street in the town of Barrhead (not sure if still there, I left a long time ago. My grandfather was Jimmy Price and he and his brother had a nursery there at one time. Barrhead now comes under Renfrewshire (East Renfrewshire, I think. Comes under the post code G78.
The Jimmy Price I know who had a connection to Barrhead and Bridgebar was married to Elizabeth and they had 10 children. 8 girls and 2 boys. A few still live there.
