Hi
I am looking for any information on the Brazier family from Halstead, Essex. William Brazier married Hannah Fewell in Halstead in 1844. There were at least 6 children - Isaac, Jepthah, Rebekah, Sarah, Hezekiah and James (my great grandfather).
Apart from James and a little about Isaac I haven't been able to find anything else of the other siblings or any further back from William.
Any help would be appreciated.

That's fine, those are definitely my Braziers. I do have some census returns. I have re-checked freebmd and found some Braziers in Halstead, but know sign of any other than James and Isaac in marriages or deaths.
Thank you for your help

Essex Standard November 1869 ;
Dunmow Petty Sessions. Hezekiah Brazier, labourer, of Leathen Robthing was charged with leaving the service of his master on 11th Oct. Mr Smith, farmer, said he had so much trouble with the defendant leaving work to go to the beer shop that he was obliged to bring the case to court. The prosecutor consented to withdraw the charge against Brazier whose mother appeared for him, on her paying the costs 8s 6p.

And in same paper 1880 an advert for Isaac Brazier, Head Street Wire Works Halstead - manufacturer of sieves and screens of all kinds, japanese bird cages, flue brushes, garden arches etc. Work made to order.

Hi
I understand, that, like me you are related to the Brazier family? My connection is through James Brazier, born 1850. He was my great grandfather. Can you tell me what your connection is?
Regards

I have read quite a lot about the Braziers in Halstead, my great grandfather left Halstead and moved to Surrey and married, for the second time,, to my great grandmother, Annie Collyer in Thames Ditton. My grandmother was one of 8 children I believe. I have found going back with the Braziers quite difficult, I got back as far as William, 1821 and Annie Fewell but have not been able to get back any further, mind you I haven't looked lately so there may be more records!
It is good that you still live in Halstead, I am not too far away, Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire.
