I have a lot of information on the SPY family who seem to have originated in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire. Some of the family moved to Edinample in the Balquhidder parish, Perthshire and some moved to Rhu near Helensburgh, Dunbartonshire. I am always interested to find others interested in this family. I can share what I have and would be happy to build a more complete picture of this family if there is anyone who has further information to share.
