I would be really grateful if someone could look up the following family on the 1891 Census:
Jacob, Rebecca, Barnett and Leah CRACOUSKI
Many thanks.

I understand that spelling is on the 1901 census but the surname is actually Krakowski/Krakowsky from your other posts - is that correct
You haven't included any details of the childrens or Rebecca's birthyear
A reply on your previous post with 1901 details shows Barnett as 13 b Poland and Leah aged 10
Was Leah born before the 1891 census

The family had a multitude of surnames that they went by - it is said that when they came to this country as they couldn't speak English theywere given the surname of the place they came from (i.e. Cracow) - sadly, their surname has been spelt many ways due to their accents and our unfamiliarity with their country, i.e. Cracouski, Cracowski/y, Krakowski/y, Krakofsky, Kosofsky to name but a few.

Hi,
My partner's g-grandfather was Barnett Cracowski. He married an Elsie Williams and together they had two daughters - Eleanor and Joyce.
They resided in Cheshire and had children of their own - 1 of which is the mother of my partner. His mother has been attempting to find out more information and I have offered to help in this matter. Having read through your posts, I am certain we are discussing the same family. I would much appreciate any other information you (Carol24) might have.
Many thanks,
Olaiah1990
