Title: CLIFFORD FAMILY
Post by: Lisa_s21 on Monday 13 September 10 23:03 BST (UK)
I am trying to find the family of Cornelius Clifford who, apparently was born in Co.Kerry Ireland between late 1820's and early 1830's.

According to his marriage cert in 1855 which took place in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, and his father was called Daniel and he was already deceased . I am trying to find the births.

Can anyone help me with anything regarding this? I don't know where to start.

Thanks,

The first place to try is the parish records at : www.irishgenealogy.ie  (free website)

The website includes many Catholic and Church of Ireland records for Co. Kerry.

I have a feeling that these are the same people. I have looked at the same censuses myself, and are trying to find out the irish side of things.

Who is Patrick Clifford that you mentioned?   ???

That name was mentioned at the end of the family stated on the list.
May have been living in Kerry at some time,

can anyone can help me find out how to go further back to cornelius clifford earliest years.

It says that he was born in county kerry in about 1829. His father according to marriage cert to Abby Daly was called Daniel Clifford. Is there a way to check parish records or something  ???

the parish record website mentioned earlier is your best bet (www.irishgenalogy.ie) - but remember that not all parishes will have records for the kind of dates you are interested in.

Do you know what part of Co. Kerry your Clifford family came from ?
