Sorry Ang,
I have been unable to find anything re the accident you mentioned in your post.
Tried archive centre. local newspaper and library, even spoke to a retired quarry worker, without any luck.
Problem being several quarries here in Jersey back then and also no specific year/date. But I will continue to look out for any information which may help.
Good Luck

If you search the Jersey Archive web-site at http://catalogue.jerseyheritage.org/
you will find Marie Reine Lancien, née Gautie's Alien Registration card (including photo) and her Occupation Registration Card.

Hello, my Great grandmother wasFlorence Elvina Gautier, born 10 February 1879. Lived in St. Helier , she was the daughter of Celestin Charles Cyprien Gautier and Jane (nee Bewhey). She had 4 siblings, Charles, Edith, William and Jane. Her mother died very young in 1883 and her Dad remarried. He was only 33 when he married again to a widow called Elizabeth Sarre in February 1884.

Hi,
Is he related to those GAUTIERS ?
According to the 1901 census, he was born in Jersey St Helier. Who are his parents ?
-
Hi I haven't found his parents yet ....

I read somewhere that Charles GAUTIER is a son of Auguste GAUTIER and Elisabeth BECHEMIN, both from France. I don't know if it's a reliable information or not.
Auguste Francois GAUTIER and Elizabeth Ursula BECHEMIN have a son in 1855 in Saint-Helier.

There was a BECHEMIN family in Saint-Helier. Ancestor Jacinthe BECHEMIN, born in France circa 1844, married to Marie Ange CAVRON.
Hyacinthe Julien Mathurin BECHEMIN married Marie Ange CAVRON in 1865 in Saint-Brieuc (28/JUN/1865)

and he is a son of Nicolas BECHEMIN (+ 02/JUL/1863) and Ursule JEAN.
In other words, he is a young brother of Elizabeth Perrinne Ursule BECHEMIN.
Hyacinthe Julien Mathurin BECHEMIN died in Ploeuc-sur-Lié in 1889
