Is if possible to look up births for
Father: Herraman Edward Percival
Mother: Gemmell Margaret Allen
Father: Herraman George Henry
Mother: Gemmell Martha Matilda
All born in South Australia (North Adelaide).....
I am also looking for any information surrounding the death of Martha Matilda Herraman who looks like died in tragically at Klemzig South Australia. (my great grandfather's sister)

far more details in the paper.
HERRAMAN George Henry died 7 Feb 1946 in hospital in Adelaide Dist Ade 697 569. He was aged 64 widow of Lower North Adelaide relative not recorded.
HERRAMAN Edward Percival died 1 Feb 1956 Lower North Adelaide Dist Ade 838 725 He was aged 76 married residence Lower North Adelaide relative not recorded.
Don't see Margaret listed to 1972

I have entered all the details against my records. In the mean time I had looked up family search and found a my family but as they were submitted records found errors, so thanks so much for everyone's help
Now I am going to do some reading about poor Aunt Martha!

I have been given a date of death as 29 May 1931 in South Australia ... but given that I found he enrolled in WW1 QLD and is on the electoral roll in Qld 1925 and 1937 seems more likely you are correct that he was still QLD.
Could you possibly do a lookup on the date I have been given in 1931 to see if this is a possibility ?

The man who died 29 May 1931 Ade Dist Ade 528 470 was John GEMMELL aged 84 married residence Adelaide
there was another in 1953 but he was 83
As you can see by my post above John Curry GEMMELL was on the electoral Roll in Queensland in 1943

I did a lookup of marriages in Qld and found a John Gemmel married Millicent Kerr in 1923.. is there a possibility that there is someone on the electoral roll with John Curry Gemmell?

There is an obituary coming on NLA site re the John Gemmell who died in 1931 apparantly he worked for fox Gibson. It will interesting to see if it has his wife's name when it is available.
Another search on "family search" had the 1931 death as John Currie Gemmell wife Matilda, again it is a submitted entry so I have to keep searching.
I have read the funeral notices and death notices for John Currie Gemmell, wife Matilda for 10 April 1911 for John Senior!

Hi Cheran,
Yes agree that yours died 1911. I think the other Johns are interred at North Road. I can't see a death for the wife of this particular John and he seems to be buried alone. (If of course he is the John buried alone at North Road.)

The one who died in 1953 wife Ellen. I see their marriages. John and James father was Robert.

married about 1861 to Mrs Matilda THOMAS nee PARKER. Her parents were Hugh and Eliz. She was born about 1843 at Highercombe SA and died 20 July 1922 Nth Adelaide SA buried WTC

William George Gemmell Herraman is my Grandfather, his mother is Martha Matilda Herraman.
My grandfather went by the name of George, born 19/07/1907 - 9/04/1992 aged 84.

Yes George was married to Dora Elvira Herraman, (nee Behenna) everyone knew my Grandmother as Elv. She passed away 1/09/1979. They had 5 boys David died at birth we believe, Donald, Terence, Trevor my father and Gregory know as Bruce.

Matilda Gemmell (formerly Thomas) nee Parker (daughter of Hugh Parker and Elizabeth Allen) is my GG Grandmother... and yours I think if work back correct Matilda is your GGG Grandmother...

Thanks for all the information John and Cheran - not sure if you'll see this reply given that the thread started some time ago. Martha Herraman was my great-grandmother: my father is David John Sanders, his mother Matilda Jean and her mother was Martha. Matilda always went by the name of Jean as far as I know. She was a lovely, kind lady; she passed away in 2006 from Parkinson's Disease. Cheers, Rachel

Great to here from Family, especially lost Family. We have probably all met at some stage in life.
Pretty sure I remember my Grand Father George talking about his Sister Jean, did she live around Salisbury or Salisbury North as we were at Waterloo Corner. My Dad Trevor, still see's one off his Cousin's @ Salisbury North Football Club Bill. If you are interested you can look me up on FB.
