I'm looking for information on CAREYs from Maynooth early 1920. I know there was a shop in the Main St. a hairdressers. Any information would be welcome as they are not in the 1911 census Thank You
-
I've fixed your post as typing everything in capital is considered shouting and I'm sure that's not what you meant to do- also makes it much easier to read :)
You say "they are not in the 1911 census"- do you have any names or ages (the family is likely somewhere in the area) or have you found them in 1901 census yet?
-
No I cant find them in the 1901 I.am hoping that somebody remembers them as the family's last relative was there till the 1980 her name was Eliabeth or Lizzy thanks for u help

This is the only hairdresser that I see in the town in 1911 :
James Keeley and family, Main Street, Maynooth (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Kildare/Maynooth/Main_Street/540779/)

thank you for your help but I know my mum was born there after 1923 and I'm looking for any information around that time of any members of her fathers family I have tryed the census 1901 & 1911 Slater etc with no luck in finding her fathers family.
-
do you know the names of your mum's parents ?
If so you could start by searching for their marriage cert, which would give you their father's names and occupations, and these details should help locate them on the census returns.
Details for later years are harder to locate online.

Hi Pauline,
My email is email address removed by moderator I would have information including photos of your grandfather. Most of my research notes are in France where I live for most of the year. It was interesting to here you say your grandfather was married twice. Am I right in saying he was married to Elizabeth Byrne I believe I have a marriage cert for him.
If you send me an email I will pass on the Info. to you.
Kind regards,
Ronnie Byrne
