Title: Semple and Maglaughlin (or similar spelling) in Donegal
Post by: erthomas on Saturday 13 August 05 21:12 BST (UK)
I am looking for any information about the surname Semple in Donegal.  I am mostly interested in Thomas P. Semple and his background and family.  I believe that his father was a servent or hand on a manor in the area in the mid to late 1800s.

Just a little more information, Thomas P. Semple was born 16 Mar 1893 in Ireland and died Nov 1975 in the U.S.   I believe that his wife Agnes Maglaughlin (or similar spelling) was born about 1891  in Malin, Donegal, Ireland.  Any help finding either of their families would be appreciated.

Hi I am from Inishowen in Donegal. McLaughlin is one of the most common names in Inishowen. ( The way the Irish say it is sounds a though there is a G in it). Semple is not a name i am familar with in Donegal at all.

I am trying to find information on Thomas P. Semple born March 16 1893.  I belive he was born in Mannorcunningham.  I also believe that his parents were James Semple and Margaret O'Donnell.  He married Agnes McLaughlin in Scotland in 1914.  Any information on his birth or childhood would be appreciated as I only have information on him after his marriage.
