Title: Gunns Building,Wick?
Post by: Seoras on Wednesday 17 November 10 14:06 GMT (UK)
My great uncle Henry Steen, born in Linlithgow, for a while  lived in Wick where 3 of his children were born. The address I have for them on the 1891 census is Gunns Building Club.It is written Guns but after looking at Wick names I feel it should be Gunns. Was there any building with a name resembling this? If so does it still exist? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi akc,yes I found the terrace,it's that which made me think the building should be Gunns.Perhaps it stood where this terrace is hence the name.

add on. It must be Guns(Gunns)building club or perhaps it should be Gunns club building.Either way it was a club as he is down on the 1891 census as club steward.
