Can anyone enlighten me with anything on Jane (formerly Wilson) Price living Andersons Lane St Johns Lincoln February 1854? :D
-
Both Wilson and Price are very common surnames so we would need more info to help you
Where and when was she born?
Have you checked freebmd for a Wilson/Price marriage
What document is the 1854 info from? If it's a birth cert - is there a fathers name on it
Have you found her (or children) on any census
-
Ive got very little Im afraid. Notes are from a lincoln birth certificate. Can find nothing on 1851 census to give me either person mentioned ie her and George Price. , chair mender. st johns Lincoln. Im probably barking up wrong tree...but wilson's are in my tree, so its possible theres a link. She says 'formerly wilson. Do they have to be wed? Could she have just said that? Heaven knows. I did look on free bmd...but will check again now Carole. :-\

They seem quite elusive :-\
The IGI also has a bap for Mary PRICE 1857 dau of George and Jane in a nearby parish but I can't find them (anywhere) in 1861 ???
I'm wondering if a Chair Mender was a "traveller" of sorts.

I see "travelling" of this family has been investigated earlier http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,498934.0.html

Thanks for that Geoff
Hi Rosie - you have posted this same request on the other thread - although you were not the original poster
Perhaps you could contact the originator and agree the way forward on this query.
There is an awful lot of complex background info on the other post which would be needed by anybody trying to help so we don't end up going over the same ground
My personal opinion would be to lock this post and continue on the other thread

I can see what you are saying Carole. How do I lock this? And I will contact family about way forward. Im very sorry to confuse anyone.

Hi Rosie
I had already asked the moderator to consider locking it but perhaps they are busy at the moment as it's still open
No worries - it will be done at sometime
