Hi Nibs,
Are you lost ? I thought Ulster County was in New York State. 8)
Do you mean Moses was born in the Province of Ulster in Ireland ? If this is the case it may be difficult to find him - a search of the nine counties in the Province with no more information than a name and a date of birth. Some of the problems are mentioned in this URL - http://www.proni.gov.uk/records/church.htm - Have you traced the family back to this point or is this the point at which you are starting ?
Best Wishes, Christopher

Hello again
Moses Niblock born around 1816 to 1819 Monaghan Ireland county of Ulster. I was told from Irish web site that there was only 6 Moses Niblock in Ireland and that he was in the Birth index of Ireland and also passenger & immigration List Index 1500-1900 that is all I know. I have researched back to him
thanks for answering

hi there ,don t no if this is of any use to you ,there are quite a few niblock familys that live in the ballybay swanns cross area of county monaghan regards john mcd.

Nibs,
You are in a good county for Niblocks. I had a Miss Niblock marry my James Harrison of Church Hill, County Monaghan, Ireland. He was born about 1730 and married four times.
Church Hill is still in County Monaghan and the Province of Ulster, and is today in the Republic of Ireland, not Northern Ireland. County Monaghan is one of the three Ulster counties that stayed with Ireland; six counties of Ulster went with Northern Ireland.

Hi there
I am looking for information on 5 Niblock brothers who left Co Monaghan for Canada during the potato famine. Robert, William, James, John and Thomas lived around Scotch corners I think. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can track down information on this family or this area. I am trying to find a map of the area with family names from the 1830s 1840s. Can anyone help me???
Thanks
Sue

Hi There
I am looking for information on 5 Niblock brothers who immigrated to Canada 1846-1849. William, John, James. Thomas and Robert were from Co. Monaghan. I have had no luck figuring out where in Monaghan they hailed from. I would appreciate any assistance on how to find this information.
Thanks
Sue
