Title: Loveridge orphans
Post by: Loveridge1 on Saturday 18 December 10 11:48 GMT (UK)
I am a new joiner to the website. I have been researching the Loveridge family tree for a number of years, and noted with interest the posts between tioman and emsowrthy regarding Frederick Loveridge and his brother Albert. As Frederick is my great grandfather, I am interested in your reasons for researching these people and would like to correspond to share and provide new information regarding this are of my fa milt tree.

Hi

Sarah White born 1826 was an older sister of my Great Grandmother (maternal) Susan White 1834 -1865.  Sarah married firstly Nicholas Pomeroy and they had 3 children, William born 1853, Sarah Ann 1855-1886 and Grace born 1857.  Sarah Ann married Isaac D Loveridge and they had two boys, Albert born 1879 and Fredrick born 1880. I have them in the 1881 census living at Lyme street Axminster with Isaac listed as an Ironmonger.  Sarah Ann's mother is also living with them under the surname of her second marriage, Trott.  Unfortunately it appears that both Isaac and Sarah Ann died in 1886 leaving Albert and Fredrick as orphans.
If you know any differently from any of this please correct me!  If you can shed any further light on the two boys and their descendents or indeed any information around the family I would love to know.  My full family tree is available on Genes Reunited and I would be more than happy to share any or all of it with you.  Thanks for getting in touch and I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Tioman

Hi Loveridge1 - not sure if you're still checking posts here.  I'm distantly related to Isaac Drayton Loveridge (I'm a Loveridge myself, but from Isaac's Uncle's line....), but I do have a lot of information, particularly about the two orphan boys, Frederick and Albert.  I am in touch with some of Albert's grandchildren, and have all the records from Frederick's admission to the orphanage.  If you'd like to know more, please get in touch.
