I am looking for Ambrose Scrimshire on the 1871 census. He was born in Husbands Bosworth c1850 - father Thomas - Mother Sarah Ann. On 1851 he is in Husbands Bosworth - on 1881 he is in York. I am trying to find out where he was in between times.
If anyone can help, it would be most appreciated.
With many thanks.

Hello Keyboard86
Many thanks for the 1871 census information, especially with the grandchildren being there - helps out with another branch on the tree! From the IGI, Ambrose had a sister named Sarah Ann so it all fits in - thank you again for your help.
All the best for 2011.
Kind regards.

Hello Pam
You posted just as I had acknowledged Keyboard86! Sounds like the entry wasn't very clear so thank you for your efforts in transcribing. I was just about to go to freebmd when I noticed your post which cleared up the name of Margaret 'Forty' - thanks again to you both.
Kind regards.
