Hi Sylvia,
I know exactly were it was taken. It was outside my Grand parents house in 1959. My mother says I was few months old, being held by my Auntie.
The location is 41, Broad Lane, South Elmsall at that time in the West Riding Of Yorkshire, now West Yorkshire.
Do you think you know the location?

Hi All,
thanks for your improvements to the photograph David.
The houses in the background were built for Frickley Colliery miners around 1910 and must be typical of many mining areas of the time so I think they would probally remind many people of the area that they were raised.
