Hi
I am helping an eldery relative research her family tree. There is a family line from Jersey.
I am seeking details of the marriage of Benjamin SHENTON to a Beatrice ? which I believe took place in Jersey prior to 1898 when their first child was born (Jersey census 1901). The only information I have is that Beatrice was born in England around 1874 and there is no record of a marriage on the UK mainland.
If there is anyone who may be able to help with a lookup of the marriage records in Jersey that would be great. I am interested in the bride's maiden name and any details of her father, if possible?
Any help - greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have him born 1871 but it looks close enough - I believe his father to be Joseph Shenton (b circa 1835). I was unsure if he had a middle initial "H". His own son was Benjamin H Shenton born circa 1898.

cant help with the marriage,,,,,just to let you know {if u didnt already} that benjamin henry shenton b c1872 brelades,jersey .. served in the 1ST regiment of life guards for just over a year,,before being invalided out ;)

1871 shows Ann married to Joseph b 1837 St Brelades and Ann's maiden name was Le Masunin

Le Masunin is a mistranscription, it should be Le Masurier (a common Jersey name)

I have just come across your request for Beatrice Clark married to Benjamin Shenton you may be interested to know that she was my grandmother her son Benjamin Henry Shenton born 1998 was my father. Within the family we know little about my grandmothers family. I would be interested to know what you ahve found out.
