Title: John James 1861 census lookup
Post by: LilyAllenfan86 on Friday 21 January 11 00:06 GMT (UK)
Could someone please look up a 1861 census entry for my great, great Grandfather John James who was born in Abersychan, Monmouthshire in about 1852 as a adult he worked as a coal miner and married twice firstly to a Mary Lacy of Garndiffaith, Abersychan and had eight children by her.
If anyone could help me out I would be very grateful thank you.

Kind Regards
Bethan Catherine Price

Who was his father?  There are 9  1861 John James entries with birthyears 1851-1853 - none with that birthplace

I am not sure about the name of his Father I have looked up the baptism records for Abersychan and during this time of his birth only one James was baptised and it was a girl in 1853 named Elizabeth Ann who's parents were Richard and Emma Louisa James.
In the 1901 census however he claims to have been born in Trevethin but he changes in each of his census entries as an adult.
 Regards
Beth
