I was born at Godolphin Cross, the eldest son of William John Martin Of St. Just who was the eldest son of John Henry Martin of Newbridge. I am researching my family and have, at present, traced it back to Christopher Martin of Sancreed in 1501. I have only now become a registered member 'rootschat'. If I can be of assistance to any family member, please contact. silverdean.

cannot find parents of Mary Elizabeth Martin (nee Williams) of Newbridge, Penzance, Cornwall born 1882 died 1908 Sancreed. Husband was John Henry Martin of Newbridge, Penzance. Mary's father was John Williams who died before her marriage in 1902. Could someone solve my problem?

is there an address given for Mary Elizabeth on the marriage certificate? What occupation is given for her father?
Have you traced the witnesses to the marriage to see if they are linked to her?
Have you asked the registrars in Truro to find a birth registration with father John?
Her burial looks to be in 1910

just spotted a marriage for one of the daughters of John Hutchings Thomas, and he was noted as sexton in Sancreed in 1901, so he may not be related.

thanks for your time and interest. the answers are most likely simple but i am new to tracing my roots and although joining RootsChat.com some time ago i am guilty of not being a regular user.
I have searched as far back to the 13/14oo's in parts of my ancesters so if i can be of any help to anyone, just ask.
