Title: May 15th Grandfathers second marriage
Post by: jim charman on Wednesday 09 June 04 15:53 BST (UK)
It seems that I am not alone in havig difficulty in finding my G/Fathers 2nd marriage. No response to my earlier request.

Does the fact that he was a Quaker make things so difficult ? The marriage must be registered somewhere, problem is "where".

      Good Hunting.

Here you go Jim - this should help -

Go to your library and get this book - Ancestral Trails by Mark D Herber.. from page 208 it explains about marriages etc.. it also tells you where the records are and how to access them

Good Luck

Thanks Jaq,
I shall be trying all the sites you mentioned, sometime soon.
It gets to the stage that you think there never was a relation you are looking for, but you know there is.
Keep up the good work it is well appreciated
