Hildyard at Park Hall.

Hi,
The 1871 census RG10/3464 shows Park Hall near Warsop the residence of Francis Hall, deputy Lieutenant of the county. In his employment is Richard Hildyard a coachman of Fairburn York.
I am trying to establish a link between Richard and John Hildyard a butler of Fairburn.
John does not appear in the 71 census and his son Francis Wilton Hildyard was born in Ireland during that period.
Would anyone know or have an idea how to find out if Francis Hall had estates in Ireland and if it would be possible to trace his household there.

Hi Jane,
I figured (maybe mistakenly) if the ancestral home was Park Hall Nottinghamshire that more people in that area would have heard of the family.
I don't know which county on the Irish List to post the request to.Neither am I sure anyone there would have heard of Park House. I tried to gooogle his name in Ireland but couldn't find anything.
Thanks for the quick reply. I will try the Ireland lists.

Hi Dasher
Just a thought try
http://www.failteromhat.com/lo1876.php
this is a landowners list for 1876 in Ireland. If this has no results go to the home page for the site as there are loads of other lists for Ireland aswell. Unfortunately Griffiths valuation which replaces alot of the census data which was burned in the fire of 1922 is probably a bit too early as it is in the 1860s.
I will be going to Nottingham archives late May so if you are still stuck email me mid May and I will ask if they can help.
Good luck
