Hi Everyone,
Any ideas on the date of this photo? And would you agree that it's a wedding shot?
Thanks very much, Glen.
-
Definately a wedding shot Glen, bride and groom front centre,1920's?
George.
-
If it ain't a wedding, Glen, I have no idea what it could possibly be :P ;D
Scandalous hemlines! That young lady on the left....tsk. :o :o
Mobcap on the bride, cloche hats on the rest of the ladies, short dresses and flapper shoes. Mid-late 1920s, but before 1929 when hemlines took a dive along with the stock market.
Cheers,
China

I'm on a roll China, quick somebody put another up ;)
George.
-
Thanks George and China!
Scandalous indeed!! ;D
Ah I should've said before....the chap standing on the right at the back, was born in 1879. Do you think he would be related to the bride, because of standing on that side of the photo? Or would that be the wrong assumption?
Glen :)

We've had this sort of discussion before, and the short answer is...hard to tell. Apparently there wasn't any ettiquette about it until recently. I think.
Buy a lottery ticket, George ;D
Cheers,
China

Ah ok, thanks China :)
I'm going to see which of his relatives were married in the mid-late 1920s and have a stab at whose wedding it might be!!
Glen :)

Glen,I think the two at the back on the right are a couple possibly but the gent on the left seems a bit younger than the lady next to him.Could be a toy boy of course ;)
George.
-
Don't you think the guy on the right looks like John Cleese? ;D
I'll have a large rum with Coke, thank you George. Diet Coke, of course ;D
-
Hahaha!! Brilliant!
Yes he does, now you've said! ;D
