The Museum of the Scottish Shale Oil Industry is currently transcribing the surviving employment and housing records from various Scottish shale oil companies, in and around West Lothian.
The project and new website is still in the early stages of development but the few records that have been transcribed so far can be searched on www.scottishshale.co.uk.
