I see a John Simpson, son of Samuel and Mary Simpson of Kildoay, baptized in Lower Cumber Parish on 3 December 1809.  Kildoag is just a short three townlands (less than 2 miles) southwest of Killaloo townland.  Perhaps he is your John.

Adjacent to Killaloo is Toneduff townland and there was a family there in 1831 that I am interested in.

Thank you both.  I think that this is the family that I am looking for, I have a suspicion that John Simpson (born 1809) could be the father of my 2G Grandfather, Robert Simpson christened 1844 in Killaloo, father John, a farmer.

regards,

Lindsay

Lindsay,

I am helping a friend with her family history.
Her great grandmother was Sarah Simpson, who married James Hamilton c.1853, Upper Cumber.
Sarah's father was Robert Simpson.

Is this the same family?

Beverly
