Hugh Billington Hatter b abt 1742 Nantwich?
burial 27.12.1811 Nantwich (have copy)
m 01.02.1767 Nantwich St Mary (have copy)
Margaret Minshull b abt 1745 Nantwich?
burial 02.06.1811 Nantwich (have copy)
Can anyone find the births of Hugh Billington and his wife Margaret Minshull please or does anyone have this family on their tree?

It seems a while since you gave me the parents of Hugh Billington; I have been searching for all this time to find his baptism.
The information I can find at Chester Records Office is:
Thomas Billington m Acton 13.05.1718 Hanna Walker (are these Hugh's grandparents?)
They had a son also Thomas Billington bapt 10.04.1720 Cholmondeston; unable to find a marriage for this Thomas, but would hope he is the father of Hugh b abt 1742? Have you any idea how I can find the baptism for Hugh? I have his marriage to Margaret Minshull on 01.02.1767 St Mary's Nantwich.
Any help would be appreciated??

Had a look for Hugh Binnington birth records, but could not find a source, only year of birth, and place. Sorry i cant help you any further on this.
Try putting another post on Cheshire board, might get a result with a different set off eyes looking.

hi i was searching through the internet to find hugh billington's parents and came across this blog, my grt grandparents x 6 is also hugh and margaret mishull, there grt grandson x 4 is albert billington my great grandfather who moved to manchester from nantwich with his wife sarah ellen williams.

Hugh Billington is my 5 G Grandfather too. His son Thomas married Hannah Hilditch, is my 4G Grandfather. Hugh has been my brick wall for many years now. I have not been able to push this line any further back, with confidence. I have seen other trees with the names Thomas Billington and Hannah Walker as Hugh's parents....But is there any real concrete evidence, to support this thought? I haven't found any, as yet.
I note you have been Chester to do some family research. Did you look at Wills while you were there?

I have still not found any concrete evidence re the birth of Hugh Billington or Margaret Minshull. As Hugh was a Hatter by occupation I have been informed that there was a big hatting community in Stockport; still drawn a blank!
John Billington was my 3 x grt grandfather who married Elizabeth Williams, is he yours too? As John was one of ten children, I would be very interested to hear which sibling is your 3 x grt grandfather.
I do have copies of several Wills re the Billingtons if you could let me know who you are interested in?
I was very pleased to receive the message on this board from Adam Billington whose Albert Billington moved with his wife Sarah Ellen Williams to Manchester; unfortunately not received further messages and this was a line I was unable to continue.
