Hi
Would anyone be able to help with burial records for Danycraig Cemetery? My great grandparents are buried there. His name is William Luke Woodward Jones (not sure if all middle names will be there) and her name is Josephine Marie Jones nee Watts. Where would be the place l would look up these sorts of records?
I will be coming to Wales in 2012 and would like to go and see where they are buried.
Thanks for your help

Hi and welcome to Rootschat
What years did they die?
-
Hi Carolew
thank you for the welcome.
I am unable to find a death record for William , but Josephine died in the middle of 1965 in Swansea aged 87. My mother seems to remember them being buried together.
thanks

I've rung the cemetery supervisor and left a message - he's usually very good at getting back to me so I'll let you know as soon as he does.
By the way, if it's the Swansea cemetery you mean then it's Danygraig with a "g" ;)

Hi Angie
A family friend has been looking into genealogies and stumbled upon your post.
I believe that in this post you have been potentially looking for information on my Great Grandfather.
I know he had sons called Basil, George, Bertram Thomas (my grand farther) and Edgar Woodward (who died tragically).
George followed his family to Australia they being called Mabs, Georgina and Edgar
If this matches with the tree you have been putting I would be very interested in finding out a little more.

Hi Matthew
Indeed It is the same person, so we are related, I guess we would be second cousins. I am the grand daughter of George (actual name William George Emrys Jones) and it was my family that came to Australia my mother being Georgina. As in my original post I did indeed go to Wales last year and went to there grave where they are buried with 4 of their children. they had 7 children in total. I have a photo of Josephine as a elderly lady but alas have none of William also some family photos. Do you have much information on the family? I have some and if you would like to message me with your email address and I will get in touch.
Regards
Angie
