Hi,
I am trying to trace Moore family from Carlow. I am in the UK so it makes it difficult to trace and also fill in general info. I have the following so far from the help of the censuses .....
(G Grandmother) Mary Josephine Moore born in 1914. She married Thomas Galbally in 1934 in Carlow.
Her mother was Winifred (Winnie) Murray, and her father was William Moore - he was RC and born in Carlow and his occupation in the 1911 census is listed as Labourer.
Any help would be appreciated ...

William Moore(*found three that fit-you need to get their marriage cert to confirm which are his parents.The cert can be gotten by contacting the GROIreland.ie).

I have found 3 records for death of wife;
Mary Moore July-Sept 1907

*all took place in Carlow.The only thing is death certs have very little info on them.The only thing that may identify correct lady is if informant is husband Patrick but no guarantee.
believe this to be marriage of John and Mary Murray,Winifred's parents.

I too am trying to trace a Moore family in Carlow. I am looking for a Howard Moore JP to see if he was the Howard in my tree who married a Miss Jane Potterton in Dublin in 1801. There are many references to the man, but none so far that mention his wife or family.
Should anyone have come across Howard, b 1772 in Dublin I would be very grateful of the assistance

Thank you for the rapid reply. I do have this record of the Moore Potterton marriage. What I am looking for is something that shows that Howard Moore, JP of Carlow [ possibly of Dunleckney ] had a wife Jane.
