Title: help to decipher address plz

I have 2 snips of birth lines from glasgow that show marriage date & place i amunable to verify would anybody be able to help maybe thay have come across it themselves any help is allways appreicaited
The marriage is a James Crawford & Jane Mcmanus feb 5th 1876 i think its ????? and county fermanagh ireland.

To me, it looks like Moat.

I think it looks like Moat also but there's not a townland in Fermanagh with that name according to www.thecore.com/seanruad

However, there's a Moat Primary School in Enniskillen and a Moat Lane in Lisnaskea. Perhaps not the townland name which will make it more difficult to locate.

thanx gr2 & aghadowey i don`t really think its moat like all my certificates you study them till your crxss  eyed and it leads  you dizzy James `s father also James is on his death cert as a farmer and james may have been a farm labourer before leaving ireland for scotland would have liked to find there birth place will keep hopeing cheerz.

It looks like Moat with an old-fashioned 't' at the end.

just going off the m  in mcmanus the two snipits are 3 yrs apart so different writers do u still think moat

I think the M in McManus has the same sort of loop at the start- certainly doesn't look like Inish to me.

Hello Garngad! I was very excited to stumble upon your thread  ;D James Crawford and Jane McManus are my GG Grandparents and yes it does say Moat Church, I am trying to send you a copy of their Civil Marriage Record and a picture of Moat church

in 1815 a Catholic Parish Church was built on a site of one rood 26 perches in the townland of Croaghan, it was known as the Moat Church and was in use until 1904

I am just new to this site, it looks amazing!
