Looking for information on Denis Leahy/Ellen Minehan  md about 1850s.  Schull.  Daniel, their son, was my grandfather. Thanks   LORC

There is one record in the Ireland special collections for an additional son, Denis:

Denis Leahy bapt 16 Apr 1868 Cork, Ireland
Parents: Denis Leahy & Ellen Minihane

Denis Leahy/Ellen Minehan married in 1853, East Schull, witness: James Leahy

There is a Dennis Leahy baptised same parish in 1830 son of James Leahy and Ellen Donovan. James and Ellen were married in 1813. Do you know if your Dennis had any siblings? Other children of James and Ellen include Ellen, Daniel and Patt

One origin of the name Leahy in Cork stems from the O'Lathimh of the Corca Laidhe; variants include Lahiff, Lahy and Flahive; this ties into my interest see

Thanks for information. Ellen D. and James Leahy are my  2 gt gps and Ellen Minehan and Denis are my gt gps. Denis had siblings    I have a website with this info on it. As far as I can remember without checking  Catherine, James, Mary , Ellen ,Patrick. ............... Lorc

Replt to Skibb Girl    Yes it is Radleys website. However, I have a lot of Leahy info which has been researched  which is not on that site due to space and expense.   LORC
