HI Kieran,

No matches for Sarah Toffette on the date of death you gave.

http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

When was she born - have you got birth dates for any of them  ?  Have you found them on passenger lists to the USA ?

Regards
Sandra

Hi...

There's a Charles (O) Hagan b. 1881 and a Sarah (O) Hagan b. 1879 in Draperstown, Co. Derry to Parents Patrick (O) Hagan and Mary Unknown - mothers maiden name would be on birth record. I also believe that is Charles Hagan with his parents on the 1901 Census of Ireland in Draperstown:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Londonderry/Draperstown/Drumderg/1543944/

And I believe that this is the father Patrick with wife Mary on the 1911 census of Ireland:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Londonderry/Draperstown/Drumderg/610113/

Hope this helps in some way

Annie

Hi Sandra and Annie,

Thanks for your replies.  This is them in the census as they came from Drumderg so this gives the years of birth.  I might have the spelling of the married name wrong.

I haven't found them in any passenger lists.

Thanks for your help

Charles O'Hagan was born 4 Dec 1881 can anyone find the death?

Did you actually find a record showing that he did go to America? (passenger manifest, census, etc.). If so, what and where is the last record of him being alive?

Hi Sandra,
Thank you so much for all your help.  I have tried looking the SSDI for Philadelphia but can't find them?  If I get a possible death I could look for the obituaries.

Can you find any naturalization records for them?

Thanks again

Kieran

I didn't find anything else earlier.  The SSDI was not fully up and running until 1962/63 ish so if he passed before that he would not show.

1930 census said he had filed first papers but didn't see anything else.

There is a death certificate for Sarah Tucker but showing an incorrect birth year - born 24/1/1886  ??? Passed away 30/9/1964. (age was not consistent on the 1920 census)
Name of husband John Thomas Tucker.  However, the name given for her father was John  ??? Mother Mary  ???
Informant was Joseph Tucker 622 E Price Street Philadelphia.
Burial Holy Cross Cemetery. Yeadon. PA   2/10/1964

Information is only as good as the informants knowledge but you might be back to the drawing board on this one.   :-\
