Hi
I have been researching my family tree, and members of my family were born in Bodeuan, Anglesey..however there is no trace of this on any of the maps. Dose anybody know where this is, or if it has changed names since?
Thanks, Pwtan

There's also a Boduan but it's on the Llyn peninsular :-\

I'd guess Bodedern, bodorgan or bodafon ( munydd bodafon) any other clues?
-
There is also Bodorgan south of the island where the Merricks lived next to their place was Bodowen
-
It could well be Bodedern..There's also Bodfordd but it does'nt sound right ;D
There is a farm called Bodwyn in Llanrhuddlad also Bodhelen and Bodowen are in Llanfaethlu and there's Bodwigan in Llanddeusant :)

I've mentioned this with a map link. It seems to be the nearest in sound to Bodeuan

Hi Pwtan, on this site No 127, Robert William lived at Tyn y Mynydd, Bodeuan.
http://www.carnarvontraders.com/burg6.html
Then on this site, Tyn y Mynydd is tated as being at Burwen, Amlwch, Isle of Anglesey.
http://www.tynymynydd.co.uk/
So could it be Burwen?

Well it's only a thought, but the Llŷn Peninsula is not on Anglesey.

Pwtan,
From where did you get the name? Was it a certificate, baptism record, census or what? There may be other information on there that might help pin it down.

Its only a thought but there are hundreds of houses called tyn-y -mynydd in wales .As there does not appear to be any reference to Bodeuan on modernday maps it is possible spelling has changed ,I do know that the Lleyn is not on Anglesey, more info is required from person who posted original request
