I am looking for information on the parents of Thomas Tovey (1765 to 1805),
Inglesham, Wilshire. Married a Mary? (1769 to 1848). Their children were John
(1790 to 1876), William (1799 to 1801), Edward b. 1796 and Annie b. 1805.
can any body help please

help am looking for info for William tovey , i no that he was baptize in 1799 and died in in 1801 i think . he also married a Hannah turner in chisendon wiltshire father where thomas and mary . Am looking to find there marriage or his birth certificate's but do not no where to look . if any body has any infor please let me know

Hi Nick,I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me can help on this but as far as I know Civil Registration when BMD certificates were issued started in 1837. Any earlier records will be in the Parsh Registers.
Also,unless I've read it wrong you have Williams baptism in 1799 and death in 1801 making him 2years old so I don't think there would be a marriage for him.

yes you are correct i had made a mistake he married hannah in 1827 but do not no when he died he was christen in 1799 . is there any other web sites you can recomend thanks nick

Have you found William Tovey on any censuses? It would narrow down a search for a death registration for him after 1837 if you have him on the 1841 for example.
I don't have access to the 1851 census, can anyone check this entry out perhaps? :-\

As Minimoo as mentioned an earlier marriage would be found in Parish registers. A copy could be obtained from Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre - 13 October 1827 Chiseldon Wiltshire.
