@LadyMerle & AH,
I am also connected to this family, being a descendant of Rowland Thomas (1794-1872). I would be grateful for any further info from either of you. I also have the baptism record for John, son of Thomas Owen, in Dec 1757 and the marriage of Thomas Owen.
I can be contacted via PM, but it would be better to contact me via e-mail. My e-mail is can be found on the contact page here:

The parish registers are transcribed at FindMyPast. See:

There are probably images of post 1812 records.
Requires a full subscription on that site.

I am looking for the family of Margarett Rees born about 1640. She may have emigrated as a child with her parents or she may have been orphaned before leaving Wales.
It isn't much to go on but any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I hope its ok if I post on this dated thread,
I am looking for information on the family of Margaret Owen who was born 1801 to parents William and Elizabeth...
I believe that the baptism fits for my ancestor who married a Thomas Roberts before they moved to live in llanyblodwel
I was recently in Montgomeryshire so took a visit to Hirnant and its church, but sadly saw no stones for any Owens but of course plenty of Humphries,Morris and Evans
