Who were the witnesses to Jane ELLIOTT's marriage - could they be clues? Is there any address given for her on the marriage certificate?
Casalguidi :)

Thank you for your reply the church and area sounds like a good place to try next .
the witness's to my grandparents marriage were Nathaniel smith and Ada smith i,ve spent hours looking for them but nothing fits .They were married in Barby near Daventry.I remember my dad talking about his uncle Nathan so i assume that the witness was Ben Smiths brother ,never heard of Ada Smith looked for her but again nothing fits ,my lot had many strange nicknames i think that could be confusing the issue !!
thanks again ......Janey x
