My Grandfather was born in Guernsey, 1897 (Lu Huriaux) is stated on his military docs. Family lived in London, so I assume they were visiting. Called Gaffe?(Greff) anyway sorry for confusion, but it was archives in Guernsey and they sent letter stating there is no record of his birth. Any idea where else it may be? Frederick Eli Sims - 1897

There was a 7 year old brother William on 1901 also born Guernsey so they must have been living there for at least 4 years.
