My family use to go on trips to Kent years ago.  Thomas was born about 1839 he lived in Drogheda and after his wife died he moved to kent

Your opening post says he came from Kent and then went to Drogheda in Ireland.....then your second post says he came from Drogheda and then moved to Kent!

We need some accuracy so that we can conduct a more thorough search.....

familysearch.org has this entry.....

Thomas Dignam died in quarter Jan-Mar 1899 age 62 in the Dublin North Reg. district.  Age at death was 62. Estimated birth year 1837.

Could that be him?

I got that death record and there could be a good chance his wife died in a workhouse adn it says on that death cert that he died in a workhouse

That might be him he is a widow and he is the only Dignam buried in the plot and there is no other relations of the Dignams buried with him so it must be him I also check Valuation Records he died form 1897 - 1903 i wonder did he go from Drogheda to Dublin to go to Hospital he was born in the 1820s
