Sheila Bingham
Mother   Ashmore   Jul-Aug-Sep 1928
Registration district:   Chesterfield:   Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire
Volume Number:   7b

Is this correct?

If so, next child down is:

Eric Bingham
Mother   Ashmore
Registration:   Jan-Feb-Mar 1926
Chesterfield
Inferred County:   Derbyshire
Volume Number:   7b

Then Alice b. June Qtr 23
Then Thomas H b. Sept Qtr 20
Then Jessie b. Jun Qt 19
Then Herbert b. Jun Qt 17

Several possible Johns

Then Frederick E Bingham Jan Qt 13
All above Chesterfield, Mother Ashmore. Vol 7b

There is also an Alfred, not on your list, born 1911, Vol 7b, as before, which would bring you back to that 1909 marriage.

Yes, I think that is the most likely one, but its all speculation till we tie in Sheila to this sequence of births. I may just have been giving info known already, or on a wrong track altogether - though I think the births and marriage do stack up. Didn't do the younger children in case any are still living. PM

The other two contenders for John are:

John A Bingham - out of the immediate area, though.
Mother   Ashmore    Jan-Feb-Mar 1915
Registration district:   Doncaste Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire - West Riding
Volume:   9c

John Henry Bingham Jun QT 1915 No Mother given but same vol as all the others
Chesterfield   Derbyshire
Volume:   7b

The plus for these two are that the mantain the sequence, but john Ashmore living with Herbert Bingham is very plausible! I just looked at the three  last children on the list, and they are all there, following in sequence.

There is an exact Free BMD for Sylvia in 1940. It does seem quite odd that she was born so late, with a seven year gap, but not impossible!

Emma in 1891 is problematic. There are several.  This is best on age and location, but by no means certain,
Emma Ashmore
Age:   7 b.   abt 1884

Father:   George E Ashmore Iron Moulder
Mother   Mary A Ashmore
Birthplace:   Brimington, Derbyshire, England in the church parish of st. Michaeal, Reg dist Chesterfield.
Piece:   2764 FO: 68 PG 28
Folio:   68
Page Number:   28

People in house:
George E Ashmore   43
Mary A Ashmore   36
Ishmael Ashmore   15
Elizabeth Ashmore   13
Frances Ashmore   11
Emma Ashmore   7
Eliza Ashmore   4
Janet Ashmore   2 (All Children of George and Mary A.)

If you got the marriage cert for 1909 of Emma and Herbert, then it would be quite easy to bring Emma back another generation.

There are some possible deaths for some of the children.

No problem Deb.

Just noticed this tree:
http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/9421347/person/-781702949
for the possible Emma given in my last post.

Until you get the marriage cert giving her father, you can't be sure these are your relatives, but it might be worth an email just in case it pans out. i am always wary of how these trees get generated when there are no citations.

Circa 1911...Emma Eliza Bingham her age is 20 and Herberts 23.

so this birth is looking favourite for Emma.

I think there may have been more than one Bingham family mother's maiden name Ashmore registering children in Chesterfield  dist - as there is a female birth reg Dec qtr 1926 and a male birth reg Mar qtr 1926

So are you certain the children you listed all from the same family??

On family search..baptism/christening is 4 years after the Birth of the one i posted but not unusual.

Eliza Emma Ashmore
Baptism/Christening Date- 20 Nov 1895
Ault Hucknall, Derbyshire, England  (8 Miles from Chesterfield.)
Father's Name- John Ashmore
Mother's Name- Hannah Ashmore

Edit...maybe not the right one ..Just seen a marriage for a John and Hannah in 1894 on freebmd.

Hi Deb
So good to hear from you, my name is Anne.

I have tried searching on other social media sites for your husband trying to grasp anything but have had no luck until now.  I can't wait to tell my husband and his brother.  Have you a family tree online? I have traced the Bingham / Ashmore's back a fair way but need to obtain more certificates.

I understand Sheila is buried in our church yard, I only found this out a few weeks ago as of yet I have not had chance to visit (been a bit housebound due to a flu virus.

I would love to chat some more, Jeffery's cousins think of him and wonder how his life worked out.  We did have info that a few years ago his mum had visited.

It seems a bit open on here to be chatting about peoples personal life.

Great to hear from you and would love to chat more
Regards
Anne
