Trying to trace death of Marion Laidlaw born, I think, 1789 in Selkirk. Has a partner William Adamson (no trace of marriage). Daughter Elisabeth Adamson b1810 - Elizabeth Adamson, natural daughter of William Adamson in Lonesmill [?] and of Marion Laidlaw, near the West Port of Peebles was born on 16th June 1810 and baptized in the 1st Week of August by the Revd McLuckie.
in both 1841 and 1851 Marion is in Peebles with her G'daughter Margaret Paterson (aged 7 and 17). Marions surname is shown as Laidlaw.
However I can find no trace of her or indeed William Adamsons death at all
