Does anyone have a George Bullen in their family who married Harriet Spong Sept qtr 1847 in Guildford. I believe Harriet may have been christened 3/6/1927 St Peters, Woking - parent's Henry Spong & Elizabeth Bennett. Harriet Bullen may have died June qtr 1849 Guildford.
-
Harriet BULLEN buried 13 JUNE 1849 at St. John the Baptist Woking aged 22.
I believe that the family would have lived in Pirbright as this church was a daughter church of St Peter in Woking Parish.

Hi Muffin41 & rosie99. Many thanks for your replies to my query, very much appreciated.

Can I ask a favour? I have found a birth on freebmd for a Harriet Bullen June qtr 1848 vol 4 page 172. Are you able to check this birth for me & see if the parent's were George & Hariett Bullen.
-
Hi
You would need to purchase the birth certificate to establish who the parents are.
Guildford reg district covers quite a large area http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/guildford.html
There is a census entry in Albury that could fit that birth - parents James & Ann. I can't see another possibility on the 1851.

Hi Graham59 I appreciate if you could check the birth of Harriet Bullen April-June 1848 at Guildford.
-
It looks like this one at Albury ;)
11 June 1848
St Peter and St Paul, Albury
parents James and Louisa Bullen
(I wonder if it's the same couple I found on census :-\ )
-
Hi Do you have any idea of her parentage as the was more than just one "Harriet Bullen" born in Guildford 1848, thanks
-
Hi Muffin 41, the only George Bullen buried around that time was in Effingham 16 Mar 1817
aged 69,
(taken form my Burial disc from west surrey historical society)
-
Dose anyone need Bullen marriage's found, don't mind looking up, might as well get my moneys worth form the disc's.. lol

My interest is as follows:
George Bullen full age (father John Bullen) married 18/7/1847 St Peters, Woking to Sarah Spong aged 20 (bp 3/6/1827 St Peters, Woking, her parent's Henry Spong & Eliza Bennett m 25/11/1822 St Mary, Shalford, Surrey) George Bullen & his wife Sarah (nee Spong) had a son bp 1/4/1849 St John Baptist, Woking & Sarah (nee Spong) was burried 13/6/1849 (aged 22) St John Baptist, Woking. I'd be interested to know if George & Sarah had a child prior to George being born in 1849 & also when George was born & whom his parent's were i.e. father John Bullen & ? Also did George remarry after Sarah died in 1949 & what happened to their son George bp 1/4/1849.
-
Are you able to check the following marriage & see if the parent's are mentioned:
William Howard born 31/1/1791 bp 6/2/1791 St Peters, Woking, married Mary Spong 1/6/1818 St Peters, Woking.

Hi to you all
I hope you can assist.
I have recently commenced researching my Bullen connection. I have discovered that my 4th x GG was James Bullen (1782 - 1867) born in Ockham to John Bullen (1755 - 1832) and Jane Farley (1758 - 1831).
My query is thus. With the extensive research you have already carried out on the Bullens does my ancestors from Ockham fit into your family / families?
I would appreciate your views. Thank you for taking the time to read.
Regards
Nick

If James Bullen married Lucy Maynard 12 May 1812 Holy Trinity Guildford that would fit into your family.

Hi
Many tanks for your reply. It appears that my James Bullen married a Mary Jackman in 1798, so it looks as though does not fit in with your family. Shame.
Thanks once again I for your response.

Nick
