Title: Abraham SUTER & Mary FORD of Mere, Wiltshire
Post by: AndrewSuter on Saturday 08 October 11 12:16 BST (UK)
It looks likely that Abraham Suter & Mary Ford married in Silton, Dorset in 1702.  The Parish Register is barely legible and it is impossible to read Mary's name.  However, there is good evidence in the Mere Churchwardens Accounts and from some of the wills that this marriage did take place in 1702.  The couple lived in Wolverton - between Zeals and Mere.

As is usual for this period, there are a lot of similar names - mostly William, John and Richard - and I would now like to piece together the FORD tree for this era.  There are other FORD/SUTER marriages and lots of mentions in the various wills of the period.

Would like to hear of any other researchers into this topic.

My 3x grandad was Albine Suter from Rutland. He moved to Leicester and died in Lutterworth. Is there any connection at all please
