Looking for family of Thomas Parker b. 1609 Browsholme, Wiltshire, England.
some have Christening in Derbyshire.
Unsourced reference has ancestry as following:
Thomas Parker b.1609
John Parker b.1583 Browsholme, Wiltshire, England --Jane Bate
John Parker b.1560 Great Burstead,,Essex,England--Mary Saltonstall
John Parker b.1525 Great Burstead,,Essex,England--Mary
Thomas Parker b.1496 Fryhall,, Devon, England--Elizabeth Frye b.1500
Does anyone have confirmation of any of this?

Hi,
Seems to be many people copying what others say out there. I think you will find Browsholme is Browsholme Hall (historically in Yorkshire WR) - Wiltshire seems to have been copied to many of these trees, but I can't find anything re a place in Wiltshire. Most certainly PARKER's connected to this Hall.

3 Aug 1602 John PARKER and Jaine BAYES was married.
several suggestions the marriage was in Patrington. Patrington seems to be Yorks ER quite some distance away so is it the right marriage.
Cheers Kris :)

It does not seem to me that your search should be in Wiltshire.
Now here we have
Boyds marriage Index

John PARKER and Jane BATE 1606 Norton Derbyshire 1606
parish register Norton

John PARKER of L.N. widow and Jane dau of James BATE yeoman. 2 July1606
John poss baptised 4 Sep 1575 Norton father John.
baptisms listed to Thomas PARKER and Jana BATE including Thomas 18 July 1609 Norton Derbyshire

IF this is your Thomas, the history seems to be in Norton Derbyshire not Essex.

Thank. That is good stuff. I had seen some excerpts of that but not whole thing.
Looks like Thomas son of John Parker and Jane Bate was Christened the right time to match, but they say he was not mentioned in Will and letters.
"What success seemed to have
crowned the genealogists' efforts when the family of John
Parker of Little Norton was reached, showing a son Thomas,
baptized March 31, 1609! But upon searching the father's
papers dated 1632, and also his will, bearing date of 1637, "o
mention of a son Thomas is made. That leaves us to suppose
one of two things, ist, that he died young; or, 2nd, that he
went to live with his Browsholme relatives or early removed
far from home. "

Hi Jethro, I'm interested in this same lineage.
I also have record of Thomas Parker being born to John Parker and Jane Bate. Thomas emigrated to America in 1635 on the Susan and Ellen, and it was documented he had a connection to Saltonsall who outfitted the vessel.
He was a founding member of Reading, Mass and died there 1683. It's interesting he's not mentioned in the 1632 papers. But would make sense to not be in the will since he was already settled in America I suppose?
My curiosity is which John Parker and Jane Bate, Derbyshire or Essex

You could start a totally new posting stating specifically what you want help with. (This is in the Wiltshire look-up requests, which is not Essex nor Derbyshire.)
