Title: Scored out place of birth.....?!

Does anyone recognise what word/s have been scored out here. ???  I have reason to believe this census entry relates to my g grandfather who was born in Keith, Banffshire - though he was orphaned at an early age and boarded out to foster homes.  He may have thought he was born in Edinburgh as that was where his father came from.
