Do you think Percy could have been a cricketer? lots of men from Sutton in Ashfield were excellent cricketers, before 1900 Sutton in Ashfield was dubbed "the nursery of cricket".

This link only lists the early known Sutton cricketers = http://www.ashfield-dc.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/leisure-and-culture/sports/cricket/sutton-in-ashfield-cricketers/;jsessionid=78362020C8F28D48AD8AE3F487D95E0A

Do you think the painting you have of Percy has him wearing a Notts County Cricket suit? any badges to compare?

I'm Percy Keeling's grandson, and have his original death certificate where his occupation is recorded as 'Professional footballer. " He played for Notts County, which explains the suit. He has two surviving children, my mother and her younger brother Frank. Two other children (Jack and Kenneth Percy Keeling) sadly deceased.
