Hi everyone,

My gggrandparents were George Christie and Mary Black who married on 7 July 1821 at Old Machar

Does anyone believe we are related?

Hello Julia. I am the Grand son of Benjamin Christie, Georges youngest Brother. My Sisters went to Scotland and met Mable Aiken. I met James Walker Christie from Moosamin Sask, in the 70's. Kate's first Child. I have a great picture of James and Elizabeth Christie, with George and Barbara, Lizzie and Robert Leslie and their daughter Lizzie.

Do you know anything about Benjamin's birth date , birth place and parents?

Hi Julia. I may have jumped the gun on the dates. You have George Christie b.1875, married Mary Black b.1876, on July 1898. From the Newburgh, Foveran Aberdeenshire area.  George was my Grand Fathers Benjamin s, oldest brother. So looks like there was a much earlier Christie/Black connection.
My mistake. Benjamin was born 1894 Newburgh who married Mary Duncan Greig from Ellon.
