Hi there i have traced my elkington family from wolverhampton/bham back to Byfield with the birth of my third great grandfather thomas elkington born 25 december 1840 i have his birth cert his parents was George Elkington born about 1809 and Sarah Amos born 1811 they was married in 1833 in byfield and was born there too. Thomas elkington's wife was Elizabeth Bull born 1839 byfield parents samuel Bull and mary ann Brown who also married in 1833 byfield.
Now on ancestry there seems to be alot of family trees on the Byfield/priors marston Link but i wanted certian parents to george elkington born 1809 byfield i cant find any baptisms and possibly any help going back on the Bull side from byfield too if possible thanks so much in advance, dave

Hi Dave,
Last one for tonight;
Submitted info has George ELKINGTON Marrying Elizabeth HEMMINGS, 23 November 1758, Priors Marston, Warwickshire.
This fits with William naming a Daug Elizabeth Henning Elkington 1815
(may be mistranscribed on FreeREG) so need checking + Marriage.
Hopefully someone can do that for you.
Your welcome. We all love to help Dave.
Let me know if you need help with the Bulls as I am signing off now as its late here in Australia.
Trish :)
PS The 1st Elizabeth Elkington listed born c 1814 was Buried as an Infant 1814 (FreeREG)

Hi again Kirsty,
Do you have access to Ancestry.Com?
I presume you have the M/C of Charles/Mary Jane 1881?
If not it names their Fathers as William Byfield, Occp Fitter and Joseph Ladds a Blacksmith.
1851 Census
Willm Byfield 26
Selina Byfield 25
Selina Byfield 5
Wm Byfield 3
Amelia Byfield 1
Edward Byfield 7 mths
1861 Census
Cottage next to 224,
Aston, Warwickshire
William Byfield 36 Head Mar Engine Fitter
Selina Byfield 35
Selina Byfield 15
William Byfield 13

1881 Census
William Byfield 51
Selina Byfield 57
Joseph Byfield 27
CHARLES Byfield 21 Engine Fitter****
Henry Byfield 19
Kath Byfield 15 Neice
So 7 siblings for Charles by my calculations.
Marriage;
6 Apr 1845, Aston, St Peter and St Paul, Warwickshire
William BYFIELD Occp Engine Fitter, Father THOMAS Byfield a Labourer
Selina MARKES, Father ISAAC Markes a Carpenter
Both were Minors (under 21)
Both made their mark (did not sign)
If you want more it may be best to start a new query on the Warwickshire Board (add a link to this info so others dont go over what has already been found by me)
The reason is this was a query on the Northamptonshire Board and not related to your Byfields.
Also there is no need to quote info I have posted just ask you question as it just takes up space.
Trish :)

Am I reading this wrong - as I see it Ada Byfield marries George Herbert Walker in Birmingham, 1909, and so we're looking for the death of an Ada Walker
I've found an Ada Jane Walker dying and buried in Ealing in 1955, but her husband appears to be William Wallace Walker

It depends where you put the punctuation, it could easily be either Byfield or Walker. When I posted the death of Ada Byfield the surname wasn't queried. So I guess we need clarification.
